Just talked to Happy Chick. The Showgirls are being difficult and won't lay the eggs I need. My babies are being set to hatch next Monday instead of today. We should have the chicks in hand four weeks from today.
I also discovered that no self-respecting chicken owner calls it an "incubator". Those in the know, or (and this would be me) people pretending to be in the know, call it a "bator". And now you know.
